Two layers of Tyfo® SEH 51 E-Glass Fiber saturated in an epoxy matrix were applied to the top two feet of each column due to severe spalling of the concrete from load changes. A final layer of UV protective paint was applied to ensure long term performance from the jacket. This application provided containment, corrosion control and structural enhancement to the columns. This retrofit will significantly increase the life span and performance of this structure.
