College Station Hilton Strengthening
Localized CFRP and anchor installation for flexural strengthening at a hotel.
Delta Structural Technology completed CFRP strengthening at the Hilton Hotel in College Station, Texas. The recorded scope targeted additional flexural capacity at locations identified in the structural drawings. It combined carbon fiber application with anchors, substrate preparation, and protection of existing finishes.

Project challenge
The April 2023 proposal referenced drawings S2/104 and S2/105 and identified eleven locations for reinforcement. This was a localized strengthening program within an existing hotel structure. The work required a coordinated layout so that the preparation and reinforcement corresponded to the engineer’s defined locations.
Project approach
The documented sequence began with shop drawings and material approval, followed by procurement, protection, and layout. It then called for surface grinding, installation of CFRP anchors in accordance with the engineer’s drawings, and application of the composite reinforcement to the approved details.
Delivery and coordination
Protection of the surrounding finishes preceded surface preparation and reinforcement installation. Cleanup and removal of temporary protection completed the work sequence, keeping the localized strengthening areas coordinated with the existing hotel interior.
Project significance
The Hilton project applied anchored CFRP to designated flexural-strengthening locations. Layout, preparation and anchor installation connected the engineer’s reinforcement details to the existing structure and its surrounding finishes.
