Dillards Green Hills Mall Beam Repair
Concrete repair, crack injection, and CFRP were coordinated for the Dillard’s parking-deck beam repair at Green Hills Mall.
Delta Structural Technology completed beam repair work at Dillard’s parking deck at Green Hills Mall in Nashville. The scope combined repair of delaminating concrete, crack injection, and carbon fiber strengthening. The proposed intervention addressed the concrete condition and the reinforcement requirement together, following the parking-deck pour-strip repair details.

Project challenge
The beam work required a receiving surface suitable for bonded reinforcement. Delaminating concrete and cracks needed attention before the composite could be applied. The proposal also offered different extents of repair, while subsequent coordination identified an initial single-beam scope. Defining the selected locations was therefore part of preparing the work for installation.
Project approach
Delta’s proposal referenced the Lusco parking-deck PT pour-strip repair drawings. The method combined concrete repair, crack injection, hand-grinding preparation, and FRP application at the drawing locations. The proposed reinforcement used Tyfo SCH-41 carbon fiber. Shop drawings and other product submittals provided the technical package for the repair and strengthening sequence.
Delivery and coordination
CDI Contractors’ coordination responsibilities included access, utility protection or removal, inspection and testing, and dry, suitably tempered conditions during installation and cure. Delta also coordinated the shop drawings through Fyfe before scheduling. These requirements connected the condition of the beam, the selected repair area, and the environment needed for the composite work.
Project significance
The Dillard’s beam project illustrates a repair-first strengthening approach. Delaminated concrete and cracking are addressed before the external reinforcement is applied. Linking those treatments with the selected beam locations and the approved detail creates a coherent installation scope for an existing parking deck.
