Lokey Metals
Steel-member encasement, gusset welding, and a cured-glass finish were coordinated for the Lokey Metals repair.
Delta Structural Technology completed structural repair work for Lokey Metals. The proposed scope combined encasement of steel H-members with gusset welding and a glass-fiber-related finish. The project brought together steel connection work and composite protection within one localized repair package.

Project challenge
The scope involved more than one material and operation. The steel members required encasement and gusset welding, while the glass fiber surface was to receive paint after curing. These requirements established interfaces between metal work, the encasement treatment, and the final finish. Each needed to be recognized in the project sequence.
Project approach
Delta’s planning identified steel H-member encasement and gusset welding as the main structural-repair activities. The proposal revision added painting of the glass after cure, with the color to be selected by the owner. This created a coordinated scope in which the finish followed the composite stage rather than being treated as an unrelated painting task.
Delivery and coordination
The project planning separated the structural work from the owner’s finish selection. Cure was the stated prerequisite for painting. That sequencing connected the encasement and glass-fiber treatment with the appearance requirement, while the gusset welding remained a distinct steel operation within the same repair package.
Project significance
Lokey Metals illustrates a compact intervention combining steel work and composite-related treatment. Its technical focus is the coordination of several materials at the same members. Clear sequencing helps define how welding, encasement, curing, and finishing relate to one another.
