Delta Structural Technology completed the fiber reinforcing scope at Millennium II Towers with D.E. Harvey Builders. The work addressed existing concrete beams identified as D and E, using a surface-mounted composite system for flexural reinforcement. Its compact scope brought concrete preparation, epoxy application, reinforcement and a protective finish together within the tower construction program.

Project challenge
The beam upgrade required the installation sequence to follow the structural details while accommodating the contractor’s broader schedule. A bonded reinforcing system depends on the condition of the concrete surface as well as the placement of the reinforcement. Small surface irregularities and the prepared profile therefore formed part of the work, alongside the engineering submittal and shop-drawing process.
Project approach
The specified sequence began with mobilization, staging and securing the work area. Delta’s proposal called for preparing the existing beams for epoxy, applying the two-part Sikadur 300 epoxy, installing surface-mounted Sika 103C FRP for flexure, and applying a Sikadur 670 topcoat. Cleaning the work area for final inspection completed the proposed sequence. The approach concentrated reinforcement on identified members and incorporated the finish into the strengthening package.
Delivery and coordination
Delta coordinated shop drawings and calculations with the construction team before field installation. D.E. Harvey’s award correspondence directed Delta to proceed with submittals, followed by the formal construction contract. The general contractor later requested the project’s applicable warranty, operation and maintenance, and as-built documents as part of closeout. These exchanges connected the specialty installation with the project’s approval and turnover requirements.

Millennium II illustrates the role of a focused beam-strengthening package within a larger commercial project. The technical emphasis was on a defined flexural reinforcing system and a complete application sequence, supported by engineering coordination.
