Delta Structural Technology completed ceiling repair above the G and H production lines at Campbell’s Paris, Texas plant. The project combined external glass-FRP strengthening with system scaffolding and containment around existing food-production equipment.

Project challenge
The overhead repair areas sat above machinery and production equipment. Access therefore required more than a working platform: the construction area needed to be enclosed and the surrounding equipment protected. Delta’s site visits informed the repair layout, while a revised proposal separated the ceiling repair footprint from the larger scaffolding footprint needed to reach it.
Project approach
The work package called for glass-FRP installation across the identified ceiling areas, followed by painting after the reinforcement cured. Its revised planning basis identified approximately 3,310 square feet of repair. System scaffold decks served multiple areas, with a containment enclosure around the decks and additional plastic protection where needed for nearby production machinery.
Delivery and coordination
Delta planned the work for the plant’s March 2015 outage. Qualified scaffold erectors were included throughout the construction period, and the superintendent’s plan reserved time to dismantle the scaffold and clean production areas for inspection before restart. The plan also called for recording installed composite quantities and material batch numbers. This connected the work-area layout, material tracking and closeout activities to the production window.
Project significance
The G and H Line project shows how overhead strengthening can be organized within a manufacturing facility where access and protection occupy a substantial part of the scope. The case brings together a defined reinforcement area, enclosed work platforms and production-oriented sequencing. Delta’s role encompassed the construction arrangements needed to carry out the ceiling repair around the equipment below.
