Campbells Soup NC
Glass fiber ceiling repair at Campbell Soup Maxton combined composite application with access, protection, coating, and turnover planning.
Delta Structural Technology completed ceiling repair work at Campbell Soup’s Maxton facility in North Carolina. The proposed scope addressed the ceiling over the pasteurisation and blending area with glass fiber composite reinforcement and a finish coating. Scaffolding, protection, preparation, curing, and cleanup were included in the planned delivery sequence.

Project challenge
Working over a food-production area required a plan for reaching the ceiling and protecting the surrounding space. The receiving surface also needed preparation before the composite could be applied. The finish coat was to follow curing, making the sequence important from setup through turnover. The proposal associated the work with a plant shutdown window.

Project approach
Delta proposed erecting scaffolding and installing protection systems before preparing the ceiling as needed. The composite phase called for a layer of glass fiber material, followed by a coating described in the proposal as USDA paint after the system cured. Scaffold removal and full cleanup preceded turnover. Epoxy crack injection was also identified in the revised pricing breakdown as a separate repair item.
Delivery and coordination
The scaffold allowance required coordination with a local supplier, and the facility needed an agreed work area for equipment staging. The proposal’s shutdown basis connected access, installation, curing, coating, and cleanup within a shared production-planning context. Those dependencies made the work a coordinated overhead repair rather than simply a materials application.
Project significance
The Maxton project illustrates how composite repair in a food-manufacturing environment includes access and finish requirements alongside the reinforcement itself. The sequence from protection through cleanup is part of the technical scope because it determines how the ceiling repair interfaces with the surrounding production area.
